The first bicycle: Pinocchio

I don’t remember the date now, but I was very young, maybe in my teens… Considering I was born in 1977, I think it was 1987. My father bought me and my brother İbo a Pinocchio bicycle. I think he went to Tuzla or Gebze and picked it up from his factory. It was my father’s specialty to buy it from his factory. For example, we used to buy our shoes from Adela in Şirinevler.

We bought my first computer in Bayazıt. I have trouble remembering the company’s name, but the brand was Ultra… Ultra Computer. It probably had 64 KB of memory, a 5.25 floppy drive, and a DOS 4.0 operating system. Later, when version 5 came out, I went back to the same place I bought it and upgraded the floppy disk to 5.0.

The year we bought the computer, and even on the way home, there was a terrible snowfall, and the roads were covered with snow. The car skidded a few times, and I was scared. No, not because I was worried something would happen to me, but because I hadn’t even taken it out of the box, I was worried something would happen to the computer.
