Violence against women in our country is unfortunately reaching horrific levels every day. Unfortunately, another murder has been committed by men whose pride cannot stomach rejection, separation, or acceptance of a decision beyond their control.

Derya Çakır became the latest victim of this brutal violence. We offer our condolences and prayers of patience to the grieving family and loved ones. This incident is not just a newspaper report; it is a profound problem that all of society must recognize.

The biggest underlying problem in these types of murders is the inability of individuals to accept events and decisions that occur against their will, and their desire to establish dominance over others. This mentality, operating with the distorted logic of “If it’s not mine, it’s no one else’s,” produces unacceptable consequences.
