Dung Beetle (Ateuchus sacer)

Dung Beetle (Ateuchus sacer)

Its length varies between 25 and 35 mm. The dung beetle is a very typical **coleopteran** (beetle). As its name suggests, it lives in places where **dung** is found. It tears off small pieces from these, carries them away, and eats them secretly. The female beetles also lay their eggs inside the dung.
